[Visual Design] Speedpaint Low Flow

In today's class, we did a speedpaint using a low flow brush technique in photoshop.

[Visual Design] The Tree

For this assignment, the task was to come up with a characterized tree with emotion and good composition.

Too start off my project, I did a quick study on the different characteristics of the tree as just like humans and animals, trees have key features that need to be interpreted.

 I then moved onto a moodboard and picked out some of the interesting designs, I really like the raspy trees so from this I really want to create a horror tree.

I played around with some rough sketches to try and get a few different ideas, my favourite was the bottom middle one as i liked the dynamics for it so I am going to use that shape for my final design.

This is the final image for my tree, I really enjoyed working with the atmosphere and the colours and focused a lot on values. I think I overdid it a bit with the blur tool to try and create more atmosphere, but I messed it up.
