In this session, we were tasked with rendering out the lighting of this pre drawn curved creature. It really helped me with working out lighting direction and I feel like this exercise was extremely useful.
This was the second part of the two week assignment that we were set that focused on studying the muscles of the human body. This half of the task was to illustrate and label the key muscles featured in the human body to show that we understand what the muscles are named and where they are located. I feel much more confident after this assignment from an anatomical drawing standpoint as in my opinion, learning how the muscles operate is a key part in accurately illustrating a human being.
Using techniques taught in class, I used the overlay function over the top of this vampire model to create an alternative skin for him as per instruction.
For the first part of this 2 week assignment, my task was to do some sketches to help get myself comfortable with how muscles work and look.
From these sketches, I noticed that muscles frequently fold and overlap over each other and fan out from the point of movement a majority of the time. This is useful to take note of for future reference.
For the second part of my two week assignment, my task was to go more indepth with the skeleton's overall form.
In these piece, I illustrated the skeleton at different angles and labelled the first with the names of key bones and the second with some of the types of joints used.
